EXs104 Granular

This unusual Bolder Sounds collection features software generated soundscapes including Evolving Tonal and Atonal Textures, Lush Pads, Evolving Noise and Percussive FX. Sample sources include guitar, gongs, psaltery, conch shells and metal sheets to name a few. However - you would probably never recognize them as these instruments once they have been processed with granular synthesis. The granular processing is printed into the PCM samples - they are not generated by the KRONOS/NAUTILUS. Many of the samples are quite lengthy and they transpose very successfully over a wide range of the KRONOS/NAUTILUS keyboard, offering a wide sonic pallet.

Some of the samples in Granular might be considered to be mini musical soundscapes. When these textures are played in close intervals they can be quite dissonant and tension filled, while wider intervals create evocative swirling effects. If you need some fresh unusual colors for your KRONOS/NAUTILUS, Granular is an excellent choice.
