In the 1990s, the first hardware synthesizers based on the physical modeling (PM) synthesis were presented. The PM synthesis concept, researched since the 1970s, sets out from the mathematical modeling of the physical properties of a musical or an acoustic instrument or device. Although the physical models do not always live up to the original, the PM synthesis provides assertive, and dynamic sounds which can be easily varied in real-time.

The PM synthesis hereby overcomes one or the other limitation of known types of synthesis. PM synthesizers need high computing power. The required complex circuits of the PM synthesizers initially caused exorbitant prices of up to several ten thousand dollars. It is thus no surprise that the first PM synthesizers have been rare.

KApro continues the work on PM synthesis based libraries by presenting the new KApro EXs120 "Dynosaur 4" library for the KORG KRONOS/NAUTILUS which is based on the first PM hardware synthesizers. Again, experience astonishingly dynamic and vivid sounds which can be easily influenced in real time by the controllers of the KORG KRONOS/NAUTILUS, like the joystick, the ribbon, the two switches SW1 and SW2, the vector joystick and the eight knobs Kn1 to Kn8, providing you with unlimited possibilities to make your creativity heard.

Note: The order of the factory Programs is arranged differently among NAUTILUS, KRONOS2, KRONOS X and the original KRONOS. This affects sounds which reference the factory Programs. Please download the file which matches your product model.

Note: This title for NAUTILUS requires EXs315 and EXs319 additionally to produce the Drum Tracks perfectly.
