It was 1995 when TRINITY, KORG’s breakthrough synthesizer of the ’90s, made its debut featuring sleek silver body (rarely seen on synthesizers of the time), an advanced touch-view GUI utilizing a touchscreen, and ultra-high-quality, 16-bit/48kHz PCM data. It also offered a lineup of expansion option boards, making it a pioneering instrument of its era.
The innovative silver body design housed an innovative synth engine boasting clear, hi-fi sound which was unattainable in other PCM synths of the time, and extensive expansion options controlled by an intuitive touch-view GUI, created a package that not only influenced the subsequent TRITON but also the 2000s OASYS and today’s flagship KRONOS. TRINITY became a turning point in the history of KORG music workstations.
Now, celebrating its 30th anniversary, TRINITY is reborn as KORG Collection - TRINITY. Faithfully reproducing the ACCESS (Advanced Combined Control Synthesis System) sound engine developed for TRINITY, the software also simulates the original D/A converters, perfectly recreating the iconic sound and feel of the original instrument. The high-quality sound,loved by top artists around the world, is now available in your music production environment.

Debuting in 1995, TRINITY featured ultra-high-quality PCM samples with 48kHz sampling, exceptionally hi-fi for its time, along with four types of oscillators, dual filters, eight insert effects, two master effects, and an eight-part multi-timbral combination mode. KORG Collection -TRINITY fully reproduces the TRINITY ACCESS (Advanced Combined Control Synthesis System) sound engine in software, allowing you to enjoy the high-quality sounds that defined TRINITY as the breakthrough synthesizer of the ’90s.

The most essential element of the KORG Collection is authentic sound. KORG Collection - TRINITY meticulously reproduces not only the original PCM samples and effects circuits but also the subtle sonic characteristics unique to the hardware. This was achieved under the supervision of the original TRINITY engineers, ensuring every detail is faithfully recreated.
Fusion of original and enhanced features
KORG Collection - TRINITY emulates the D/A converter that shapes the final TRINITY sound to faithfully reproduce the original tones. This ensures the unique clarity and power of the original TRINITY are fully retained. In addition, software-based enhancements such as expanded maximum polyphony and eight IFX units without the original hardware limitations—allow for sound design possibilities that go beyond the capabilities of the original instrument.

KORG Collection - TRINITY not only includes the PCM samples originally installed in the TRINITY hardware, but also all four optional sample expansions released at the time (TFD-1S MEGA PIANOS, TFD-2S ORCHESTRAL ELEMENTS, TFD-3S DANCE WAVES & DRUMS, TFD-4S M1 FACTORY), as well as the PCM samples added in 1998 with the TR-Rack, a 1U rack version of the TRINITY sound engine. In total, over 2,000 ready-to-use combination/program sounds are included.
