The library is fully compatible with both Equal Temperament and non‑Equal Temperament tuning systems, allowing performers to explore microtonal scales and genres with a new level of authenticity and expressive nuance. Deep ADSR programming enables the strings to respond naturally to both fast and slow bowing styles, giving performers full control over articulation and phrasing directly from the keyboard. And with Advanced Poly Legato Performance, notes seamlessly crossfade into one another, delivering true‑legato realism without the need for scripting or manual editing.

Recorded in true stereo, these strings capture the natural movement and realism of real bowing as it happens — giving your performance an expressive, lifelike feel directly from the keyboard. And while performing many of the included Combis, you’ll even hear the resonance of the string sound box, just as you would in a live concert or orchestral performance. Each instrument has also been modeled with orchestral‑style reverb, faithfully simulating the acoustic space of a concert hall for an even more immersive playing experience. In addition, many of the multisamples in this library are non‑looped, preserving the natural decay and character of each note for a more authentic and realistic performance.

Inspired by the success of EXs188 Expressive Strings and EXs250 Club Strings, this new collection expands the Kelfar string legacy with a fresh hybrid approach, offering greater depth, versatility, and modern character than ever before. We’ve also hand‑selected a number of sounds from both EXs188 and EXs250 that we felt were perfectly suited for this library, enhancing EXs340 with proven favorites that complement its new hybrid design.
