EXs201 Questionably Barbershop - Kronos

EXs201 "Questionably Barbershop - Kronos" Edition is a simple 4-piece male vocal ensemble sample library, crafted in the style of an old timey Barbershop Quartet. Featuring the humble talents of Soundiron’s own Mike Peaslee, Gregg Stephens and Spencer Nunamaker.

This library offers basic chromatic sustains and staccato articulations, improvised scat and bebop phrases and even a classic Americana folk song construction kit broken down line-by-line, with each vocal part directly accessible in several different root keys. From a deep booming bass to a soaring high tenor falsetto, Questionably Barbershop gives you easy 4-part harmony in a box.

Each one of our singers (Mike: Tenor Lead, Gregg: Baritone, Spencer: Bass and ‘Mikey’: Tenor Falsetto) performed 3 types of sustains and staccatos (Doo, Lah and Woh) in the root keys of C, E, and G#. It also contains a classic Americana folk song with a 4-part harmony full performance accompanied by solo lead, bass, baritone and tenor (falsetto) part performances in each key. The Phrase collection contains 356 improvised scat and bebop phrases that are also performed in each key.

This library also provides an exclusive selection of all-new custom FX presets, with atmospheres, drones, evolving soundscapes, and unique sound-designed vocal pads. Soundiron’s Questionably Barbershop, Kronos Edition is a 636 MB library that includes 2186 samples, with 15 Chromatic Vowel Staccato Presets, 15 Chromatic Vowel Sustains, 27 Dynamic Vocal Phrase Banks, 29 Custom FX Presets and 15 Custom Wav Sequences.
