Kelfar Technologies introduces its 18th sound expansion library to the family of NAUTILUS / KRONOS, the EXs250 Club Strings. The EXs250 Club Strings brings to your NAUTILUS / KRONOS new essential elements to enhance your club and stage musical performances like you have never experienced before. The Club Strings have been inspired by the renowned previously released sound libraries EXs95 Melodia & EXs188 Expressive Strings.

The EXs250 is an exquisite strings ensemble that includes violins, violas, cellos, and contrabass that have been meticulously recorded, designed, processed, and mastered for live performances. Kelfar Club Strings are the perfect choice for any band, providing a warm and rich sound that will resonate throughout your stage and dance floor.

Kelfar Technologies has left no stone unturned in designing and programming the EXs250 strings to suit any genre or style of music, whether it's ethnic, vintage, or modern. The library's array of strings is versatile and will not constrain you to any specific category of music. With this sound library, you can explore new horizons and experiment with your music, creating a unique sound that will captivate your listeners.

World Strings
The EXs250 is a collection of world strings that have been specifically designed to be played for Arabic, Turkish, Balkan, and Greek music. We took special care when designing the strings to include Portamento Legato on every programmed combi or program. By enabling SW1 on the strings that have Portamento Legato, the player can smoothly glide or transition between notes without cutting off the previous note, allowing them to emulate an orchestral strings glide.

Modern Music Strings
The EXs250 has many string selections designed specifically for Contemporary Music such as Disco, Electronic, EDM, Rock, Indie, Progressive, Pop, and Tron emulations strings.

Um Kalthoom Vintage Strings
The EXs250 has a few vintage strings that were modeled and remarkably like the ones performed in the Um Kalthoom ensemble in Egypt during the period between the 60’s and 70’s. Some of the songs that made these strings legendary include Enta Omry, Leilet Hob, Alf Lela We Lela, and many others. For those unfamiliar with Egyptian music in that period, Um Kulthoom, a.k.a “Star of the East” (1898-1975), was the greatest Arab singer of the 20th century.

EXs 250 Kelfar Club Strings features:

True Dynamics - We have designed a specific Envelope for each sound to provide the maximum dynamic range and modulation depth.

True Loudness - Each sound has been designed to offer maximum volume without loss of sonic quality.

Poly Legato - Kelfar Club Strings removes the separation between notes often found in electronic keyboard recreations of stringed instruments. The smooth sound mimics the tones created by the finest musicians.

Portamento Legato - Good legato is essential when performing strings sections in Arabic, Turkish, Greek, and Balkan music. Most of the sounds are programmed with a dedicated SW1 to enable or disable the Portamento Legato.

Deep Level of Programing the EXs250 Kelfar Club Strings
Kelfar Technologies brings a programming feature which was introduced in the previously released sound library the EXs 188 Expressive Strings to the Korg Kronos: cross-fade between the samples while performing the strings in real-time. Legato is especially important when performing strings or other instruments that require a smooth transition between the notes.

Orchestra Arrangements, Key Mapping, and EQ
The strings were arranged and recorded to be performed for synthesizer key mapping or key zones. By playing one key (for example, G3), you can play the entire ensemble group of violins, violas, and cellos. Kelfar has made it easy to make it sound as if an entire ensemble group is playing without the players needing to adjust each instrument’s loudness, equalization, or octave arrangements.

Mimics an Actual Orchestra’s Range
Each instrument – violin, viola, cello – has been programmed to mimic the actual range of an orchestral instrument. For example, the violin’s range is G3 to A7. Violas perform C3 to E6 and cellos from C2 to C6.

Kelfar Technologies did all the work for you! There’s no need for you to rebuilding the orchestra elements and setting key ranges for each of the instrument to make it sound like an orchestra. With our sound library, it is easy to produce beautiful, world-class string section sounds right from your keyboard.

Experience World Scales
Kelfar Club Strings can be performed in both equal temperament and non-equal temperament scales. Experiment, compose, and perform both Western and Eastern-style string music.

Added Realism – New Dynamics
Many of the programs and combis in the EXs 250 strings are programmed with round-robins to add more realism to your performance. The Strings will no longer sound static or mechanical when you use our sound library. It sounds just like the real thing! Many of the programs and combis are programed with Wave Sequences so that each new note sounds with fresh dynamics.

KARMA GEs (ARPs in Nautilus) and Drum Tracks
We have designed and programmed many combis to include KARMA GEs (ARPs in Nautilus) and DT. Performing the included combis will take your performance to the next level. The EXs 250 includes many genres of music: EDM, Rock, Indie, Progressive, Ethnic, Atmospheric, Ambience.

Effects
Need to add certain effects to carry off a solo or flourish? Knobs 7 and 8 control (Knob 5 and 6 on NAUTILUS) the effects in real-time. This feature makes it easy to get the right amount of Reverb or Delays whether you are performing live or playing in the studio. We have even programmed the strings in Progs and Combis with effects related to a theme or song!

All the AMS assignments and Real-Time Controls have been standardized. You have dynamic control over the sound using SW1, SW2, After Touch, Velocity, Joystick, and Ribbon. It is highly recommended that you use the EXs 250 Guide to become familiar with the Kelfar Club Strings.
