EXs325 Yangqin -Chinese Hammered String Instrument-

There are many types of Hammered string instruments used around the world. The Chinese version of the dulcimer is known as the Yangqin and often referred to as the "Chinese Piano". It plays a very important role in the accompaniment of Chinese string and wind instruments. EXs325 focuses on the local sound character and the articulation of the Yangqin - unique sounds that are heard throughout traditional Chinese music.

The sampled Yangqin was made from the sweet-sounding rosewood, and played with relatively hard hammers. While we have many playing techniques and tones of Yangqin, we have collected these useful, easy-to-use techniques:

And like EXs323 Erhu -Traditional Chinese Violins-, we did special PCM editing, sound programming, and crossfading. This allows the smooth (stepless) dynamic transitions and natural performance control with various controllers.

Additionally, we realized round robin and tempo-adaptive tremolo using wave sequences. The EXs325 offers greater realism than ever before and brings new performance possibilities. We highly recommend for all KRONOS/NAUTILUS users looking for some beautiful and unusual sounds.
